Nestled on Havelock Island in the Andaman archipelago, this stretch of coral sand and azure water has often been called one of the best beaches in Asia. In this five-day tour, your days would unfold slowly on the beach. You can expect to read under a canopy of casuarina trees, explore marine life in the crystal-clear shallows, or simply lie back and watch the sky turn liquid pink at dusk.
What to Know Before Visiting Andaman and Nicobar Islands
Foreign tourists arriving at Port Blair are required to show their passport at the Immigration counters at Airport and Seaport for verification. Foreign nationals must possess a valid Indian visa before arriving in India, including the Andaman Islands.
Foreign tourists need a Restricted Area Permit or RAP to visit certain parts of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, including Port Blair and Havelock Island. This permit can be obtained on arrival at the Port Blair airport or seaport. The RAP may be also availed from the Indian Missions overseas and even from the Foreigners Registration Offices at New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata. It can also be obtained from the Immigration Authorities at the Airport of New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata. It is usually valid for 30 days and can be extended for another 15 days in certain cases with permission from the Superintendent of Police, FRO/CID, Port Blair.
The RAP may be granted to the citizens of Afghanistan, China and Pakistan and foreign nationals having their origin in these countries only if have obtained prior approval from the Ministry of Home Affairs. If any such national is found visiting these islands without the RAP, they would be liable to face penal action taken under the relevant provisions of the Foreigners Act, 1946.
Highlights of the Tour:

- Trek into the nearby mangroves and forest trails that line the beach, home to exotic birds, monitor lizards, and lush biodiversity.
- There’s little to no mobile network, encouraging true digital detox and presence.
- The perfect destination for slow, mindful travel, romantic getaways, and long contemplative walks by the sea.
Itinerary for Radhanagar Beach on Havelock Island
Day 1: Arrival in Havelock
Upon arriving in Port Blair, take a government or private ferry to Havelock Island. After checking into your eco-resort preferably located between the rainforest and sea, head to Radhanagar Beach just before sunset. The late afternoon light prepares the beach for a silver-golden sunset. Take a dip in the calm sea as the sun disappears into the Bay of Bengal.
Day 2: Snorkeling at Neil’s Cove
Your morning would begin with a walk to Neil’s Cove, a secluded lagoon-like extension north of Radhanagar Beach. Especially if you are a beginner at snorkeling, this is the best place for you. Its clear waters reveal angelfish, clownfish and even sea turtles if you’re lucky.
Afterwards, take the secluded forest trail behind the beach. This protected forest ecosystem is home to wild orchids, chirping drongos and towering andaman padauk trees. Local naturalists often offer slow-paced nature walks as well.
Day 3: Kayaking and Mangrove Forests
Kayaking through the mangrove-lined creeks of Havelock doesn’t get better than this, a short drive from Radhanagar. Glide silently over glassy green water, beneath archways of intertwined roots and leafy branches.
As you push off from the banks, the paddle dips quietly into mirror-like water, reflecting a canopy of tangled roots, ferns, and overhanging trees. The interwoven mangrove branches form natural archways, filtering sunlight into dappled, shifting patterns on the water’s surface. Every now and then, you might spot a mudskipper sliding across a root, a kingfisher flashing blue, or hear the call of an unseen bird.
Day 4: Kalapathar Beach
Many resorts on Radhanagar’s shoreline offer sunrise yoga and meditation sessions. If you are interested, you can kick off your day with a mindful meditation session.
Later, head to Kalapathar Beach on the southeastern coast, where black rocks (from which the beach gets its name) are scattered all over golden sand.
End your day back at Radhanagar with a seafood dinner under the stars.
Day 5: Onward Journey
Catch the ferry back to Port Blair in the afternoon.
